Tom Basile: Republicans Must ‘Stick Together,’ ‘Get Stuff Done’ as the Democrats are Already ‘Plotting to Make a Comeback’

Nov 12, 2024

Tom Basile, host of the Newsmax show “America Right Now,” discussed how critical it is for Republicans to “stick together” and “get stuff done” quickly during the incoming Trump administration, explaining how the Democratic Party is “already plotting to make a comeback” in the next election.

Basile stressed how the next 70 days is a critical time for Republicans in the U.S. House and Senate to come together and begin working on president-elect Donald Trump’s agenda to deliver quick results for the American people.

“Republicans can’t do what Republicans often do…which is they have a great election and then everybody kind of pats themselves on the back and says, ‘Okay, we’re the stuff and we don’t have to worry about these other guys,’ and then the infighting starts. Then, people get fractured,” Basile explained on Monday’s edition of The Michael Patrick Leahy Show.

“Everybody’s got to keep swimming in the same direction – the Senate, the House, which will have a very slim Republican majority, and of course the incoming administration,” Basile added.

Basile went on to warn that the Democratic Party, in wake of its resounding loss in the presidential election and multiple U.S. Senate and House races, is “already plotting” to both disrupt Trump’s incoming presidency and make a comeback in the 2026 and 2028 elections.

“Anybody who thinks that Barack Obama and George Soros looked at Kamala Harris and Tampon Timmy and said, ‘Yeah, that’s a winning team’ is kidding themselves,” Basile said.

“They’re already plotting how to disrupt this presidency and they are plotting how they’re going to make a comeback. So it’s very important for this administration to come in and start getting some big things done real quick,” Basile added.

Basile said Republicans should focus early on in the administration on passing Trump’s tax promises and dismantling the “government censorship complex.”

“No tax on tips, no tax on social security, no taxes on overtime. Renew the 2017 tax cuts, fix the salt tax deduction, bring down the corporate tax rate again. Tom Homan, a beautiful choice [for border czar], let that guy go wild…Donald Trump came out with a plan on how to protect free speech and to dismantle the government censorship complex…These are the things that have to get done,” Basile explained.

“The Republican Party has to stick together. They have to take a page out of the Democrat playbook. They have to stick together. They have to work together and they’ve got to get stuff done because the Democrats are already coming,” Basile added.

Reporter Tom Pappert: Lawfare Skullduggery in Pennsylvania Proves Democrats Are in Denial After Election Losses

Tom Pappert, reporter at The Pennsylvania Daily Star, said Democrats’ ongoing refusal to accept the election results of the Pennsylvania U.S. Senate race which saw Republican Dave McCormick defeat incumbent Democrat Bob Casey (D-PA) is textbook “election denialism.”

While The Associated Press called the race for McCormick two days after Election Day last week, Casey has refused to concede.
