Spokesman Jeff Hutt Details Strategy Behind New ‘Make America Healthy Again’ Super PAC

Sep 9, 2024

Jeff Hutt, a spokesman for the new Make America Healthy Again super political action committee (PAC) and former national field director for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential campaign, said the new PAC is working to help former President Donald Trump get elected by engaging former Kennedy volunteers and supporters to get out the vote for Trump.

The Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Super PAC is run by approximately one dozen ex-staffers of Kennedy’s now-suspended campaign.

Hutt, who has extensive experience working in local and county-level politics, said the goal of the newly-former PAC is to mobilize Kennedy’s base and encourage them to cast their votes for Trump, who was endorsed by Kennedy upon the suspension of his presidential campaign on August 23.

“I’ve worked on a lot of campaigns…But I’ve never met volunteers and supporters like I’ve met in the Kennedy campaign. These folks are the brightest and the best that I’ve ever seen,” Hutt said on Monday’s edition of The Michael Patrick Leahy Show.

“I think that overall, the Kennedy supporter base is really great and I think in a lot of these swing states it is going to be the difference that puts [Trump] over the top,” Hutt added.

Hutt gave the example of Georgia as a state in which the PAC is focusing on mobilizing voters that would have voted for Kennedy to instead get out the vote for Trump through targeted advertisement buys in “particular counties and suburban areas.”

“Georgia is an excellent example. It’s a battleground state. Donald Trump lost it by very few points last year. The Kennedy campaign had a good supporter group in that state. So we have a several fold approach. The reason that we’re looking to raise money is that we’re looking to do ad buys in particular counties and suburban areas,” Hutt explained.

“We think that there’s a group who can be swayed by the Kennedy message and that this group is so significant that they can turn the election…What makes us special is that we’ve been working with these crowds for well over a year now and we believe that we can market and talk to them in a way that, say, a GOP political person could not,” Hutt added.

The PAC is also looking to rally former Kennedy volunteers to get out the vote effort for Trump leading up to the November 5 general election.

“There’s a lot of volunteers still left in these states…So we’re going to engage them to get in and get out the vote efforts. Phone banking is one of them, sign waving, do tabling, but the idea is that we’re going to help them help Donald Trump get elected,” Hutt said.

Since its launch, Hutt said the PAC has raised “small to medium donations,” however, is still searching for “angel donors” to help fund the initiative.

Reporter Tom Pappert: Joe Biden ‘Deeply Resentful’ of Democratic Party, Sabotaging Kamala Harris’ Campaign for Revenge

Tom Pappert, lead reporter at The Tennessee Star, said he believes President Joe Biden is “sabotaging” Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign out of “pure resentment” for how the Democratic Party pushed him to end his reelection bid.

On Tuesday, Biden said on a Zoom call with members of the nonprofit organization Voto Latino that supporters of former President Donald Trump were “floating…garbage.”
