Roger Simon: Israel Should Target Iran’s Nuclear Facilities Following Missile Attack

Oct 7, 2024

Roger Simon, the co-founder of PJ Media and author of the Substack “American Refugees,” said Israel should respond to last week’s missile attack by Iran by targeting the Islamic nation’s nuclear facilities.

On Tuesday, Iran launched approximately 180 missiles at Israel in retaliation for the Israeli military’s recent killing of top Hezbollah leaders.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei spoke publicly Friday, vowing that Iran-backed forces “will not back down” following Tuesday’s missile attack which was thwarted by Israel’s Iron Dome.

In response to the missile attack, it has been reported that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) is looking to respond by attacking Iranian oil or nuclear facilities, an idea of which U.S. President Joe Biden has come out against.

Simon, however, said Israel should go after Iran’s nuclear facilities, noting how Iran currently has the nuclear capabilities to launch a catastrophic attack against its enemies, including the U.S..

“They have some forms of nuclear capability and have for years,” Simon explained on Friday’s edition of The Michael Patrick Leahy Show.

“They could use a dirty nuclear bomb tomorrow,” Simon added.

Simon went on to call Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei the world’s modern day Hitler, warning that Iran’s ultimate goal is to “destroy” Israel and the Western world.

“[Ayatollah Khamenei] gave a lengthy speech saying, essentially, that Israel would be destroyed and that they shouldn’t worry about the fact that they were trying to pick off leaders because they had the wind at their sails and they were going to destroy Israel and then presumably the Western world with it,” Simon explained.

“I think what people don’t realize is that Israel is the Western world’s last bastion in that part of the world,” Simon added.

Simon also stressed how Iran’s supreme leader chants not only “Death to Israel” but also “Death to America.”

“Remember, they always say ‘Death to America,’ too. They don’t just say ‘Death to Israel.’ I think that’s one of the things that a lot of people on the left in our culture forget conveniently,” Simon said.

Tom Zawistowski, president of the We the People Convention, said Bernie Moreno, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Ohio, continues to lead incumbent U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) leading up to the November 5 general election as a “huge” effort is underway on the ground in the Buckeye State to get out the vote for Republicans.

Zawistowski said Moreno is up by 3 percentage points over Brown. Both candidates have launched a combined $260 million in television ads to persuade voters before Election Day.

Kline said in the past, election laws were challenged based on “procedure,” which is no longer the case today.

EJ Haust, a digital marketing expert and former journalist who lived in Minnesota for 12 years before relocating to Tennessee, said Minnesota Governor and Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz’s brief appearance on CBS’ “60 Minutes” special, which aired on Monday, further proves that he “cannot be trusted” and “should be nowhere near the White House.”

During the interview, CBS correspondent Bill Whitaker pressed Walz about his answer during the vice presidential debate against U.S. Senator JD Vance (R-OH) regarding his false claim that he was in China in the spring of 1989 as the Tiananmen Square protests took place.
