Reporter Tom Pappert: Joe Biden ‘Deeply Resentful’ of Democratic Party, Sabotaging Kamala Harris’ Campaign for Revenge

Nov 1, 2024

Tom Pappert, lead reporter at The Tennessee Star, said he believes President Joe Biden is “sabotaging” Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign out of “pure resentment” for how the Democratic Party pushed him to end his reelection bid.

On Tuesday, Biden said on a Zoom call with members of the nonprofit organization Voto Latino that supporters of former President Donald Trump were “floating…garbage.”

Biden’s remarks were made while Harris presented her closing argument to voters at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C., which instantly buried the vice president’s speech in the news cycle.

Pappert said he believes Biden’s remarks were made out of “resentment” and were not one of the president’s frequent gaffes.

“I think not only did the advance team know, I think Joe Biden knows. I think he’s rested, he’s vacationed, he’s probably the most with it as he’s been since he was elected president four years ago, and I think he’s deeply resentful for what they did to him,” Pappert explained on Wednesday’s edition of The Michael Patrick Leahy Show.

“He was cooed out of the White House in favor of Kamala Harris and she’s a stone cold loser who’s about to, I believe, get crushed in a landslide if we all get out and vote like we’re supposed to,” Pappert added.

Pappert noted that Biden’s remarks on Tuesday were not the first time the president had drew coverage away from Harris since the start of her campaign, further pointing out that he believes the president’s actions were “intentional.”

“This is the second or third time Biden has done this. There was of course when he did his first ever press conference in the history of the presidency right as [Harris] was starting a rally a few weeks ago. Now she’s delivering her final remarks and he does a zoom call with somebody,” Pappert explained.

“I am firmly of the belief that Joe Biden is sabotaging his vice president out of just pure resentment for what his own party did to him,” Pappert added. “It threw a wrench into the gears, and I think that was intentional.”
