Michael Patrick Leahy: DOJ Attempting to Resurrect ‘Russia, Russia, Russia’ Fears Ahead of Election

Sep 9, 2024

Michael Patrick Leahy, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of The Tennessee Star, said the Biden-Harris administration’s Department of Justice (DOJ) is attempting to “resurrect” fears surrounding Russian influence on America’s elections leading up to the November 5 general election.

On Wednesday, the DOJ announced that Tenet Media, a Tennessee-based media company, was funded by Russian operatives working as part of an influence operation on the 2024 election.

An indictment unsealed in New York’s Southern District charged two employees of RT, the Kremlin’s state-controlled media network, of funneling approximately $10 million to Tenet Media through a series of shell entities.

Tenet Media is linked to popular conservative commentators including Tim Pool and Benny Johnson.

After the indictment was unsealed, personnel with the Biden-Harris administration’s DOJ held a press conference where they warned of additional “interference” in the upcoming election from foreign powers.

“Unfortunately, we know that Russia is not the only foreign power seeking to interfere in our elections…We will be relentlessly aggressive in countering and disrupting attempts by Russia, and Iran, as well as China,” Attorney General Merrick Garland said on Wednesday.

Despite the DOJ’s seemingly heightened attention to the matter of foreign influence on the November 5 election, Leahy downplayed the developments as simply a “resurrection” of fears as seen during the 2016 election, when Democrats blamed Russian influence for Hillary Clinton’s loss to Donald Trump in the race.

“This is basically the Department of Justice trying to resurrect ‘Russia, Russia, Russia’,” Leahy said on Thursday’s edition of The Michael Patrick Leahy Show.

Leahy went on to point out how the funneling of $10 million to Tenet Media via multiple shell companies shares similar characteristics to how President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, allegedly received money from foreign influences; which, so far, has yet to be properly investigated by law enforcement.

“Shell companies sending money to influence. It sounds a lot like what the Chicoms did with Joe Biden and Hunter Biden, doesn’t it? It sounds like it to me. Where’s the prosecution for that? I haven’t seen it,” Leahy said.

Tom Pappert Details Troubling Series of Events Leading Up to Georgia High School Shooting

Tom Pappert, reporter at The Georgia Star News, detailed the unfortunate series of events that reportedly transpired just minutes before 14-year-old Colt Gray allegedly killed four and injured nine more at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia last week, which, if acted upon, may have prevented the shooting.

Gray, who surrendered to law enforcement Wednesday after allegedly carrying out the shooting, was on the FBI’s radar last year, as the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office interviewed him and his father in May 2023 after the FBI received “several anonymous tips about online threats to commit a school shooting.”
