Matt Boyle: ‘No Energy Left on Kamala’s Side’ with Eight Days to Go Until Election Day

Oct 28, 2024

Matt Boyle, the national political editor at Breitbart News, said Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign has “no energy left” with just eight days to go until the November 5 general election.

Boyle compared Harris’ campaign to a “slowly deflating flat tire” which has caused Democrats to enter “stages of grief.”

“Donald Trump has all the energy. Kamala Harris is a flat tire, slowly deflating…You can drive on it a little bit, but eventually you’re going to have to pull over and change the tire because the car’s going to crash. So it’s slowly but surely deflating,” Boyle explained on Monday’s edition of The Michael Patrick Leahy Show.

“All the signs are pointing in a great direction for Donald Trump and a terrible direction for Kamala Harris, which is why the Democrats are going through what I call this stage of grief. Some of them are still in denial. Some of them have moved on to anger. Some, like Michelle Obama this weekend, she’s out there bargaining with people…Some have even moved on to depression. None of them have yet moved on to acceptance. The Democrats are going through the stages of grief right now and they’re all in various stages of them,” Boyle added.

Boyle pointed to polling and early voting data from battleground states and across the country showing Trump with the momentum in the final days leading up to Election Day.

“I don’t think we’ve ever seen a Republican candidate with this firm of a lead in the polls, both national polls and state polls in the battleground states, as what we’re seeing out of Trump right now. It’s just incredible,” Boyle said.

“Republicans are over the moon right now. They think they’ve got all the energy, we see the early vote numbers out there across the country. Republicans are for the first time ever leading in North Carolina, Arizona, Nevada in the early voting. We’ve never seen that before,” Boyle added.

Boyle also pointed to the Harris campaign’s effort to paint Trump as a fascist and tie his Sunday rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City to the 1939 pro-Nazi rally in a desperate move to rally voters ahead of Election Day.

“Kamala Harris’ campaign is in total free fall and collapse. They’re desperately trying to push this whole Nazi, Hitler authoritarian dictator narrative at the home stretch…There’s nothing left there,” Boyle said.

In regards to each candidates’ schedule leading up to Election Day, Boyle pointed out Trump’s dominance when it comes to traveling the country and making multiple campaign stops per day in an effort to get out the vote.

“Every time you turn around, Donald Trump’s somewhere else. He was in Madison Square Garden last night. He’s got a packed schedule this week. He’s supposedly got events coming up in the traditional battlegrounds. I think he’s got an event in North Carolina on Wednesday and he’s going to be hitting Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin aggressively, but he’s also going to be going to New Mexico and Virginia,” Boyle explained.

“He’s widening the map,” Boyle added.

Boyle said the only question leading up to Election Day is if Trump can turn his momentum into votes at the ballot box.

“The question now for Trump is: Can he close the deal and does he convert all these people into votes? Does he convert all this energy into votes? It’s just a purely mechanical thing at this point. Trump has won the national debate. He’s won the energy fight. He’s won this campaign, the question is now can he execute and does the ground game carry him across the finish line? I think it will,” Boyle said.

Pollster John McLaughlin Breaks Down Trump’s Stance in the Race with Eight Days to go Until Election Day

Long-time pollster John McLaughlin said former President Donald Trump has presented a solid closing argument to the American people in the final days leading up to the November 5 general election, which is offering voters a stark comparison between his policies and those implemented by the current Biden-Harris administration.

Noting how the former president maintains a slight lead in the race over Vice President Kamala Harris, McLaughlin explained on Monday’s edition of The Michael Patrick Leahy Show how Trump’s current position in the race is comparable to Mitt Romney’s campaign in 2012 at the same point in time.
