Davidson County GOP Chairman Lonnie Spivak Details Upcoming Event at the GlockStore

Feb 17, 2024

The Davidson County Republican Party is set to host a Shooting Stars event at the GlockStore next month.

Lonnie Spivak, chairman of the Davidson County GOP, said the event is “going to be a lot of fun.”

“This is our second year doing this event,” Spivak said during Friday’s edition of The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy. “It’s a great event. It’s going to be a lot of fun. We’ll have several candidates there so you’ll be able to learn about some of your candidates who are running for office.”

The event will take place on March 16 at the GlockStore, located at 1930 Air Lane Drive in Nashville.

There are three different ticket options for purchase – Networker, Shooter, and VIP.

Networker tickets, which include basic admission to the event, are $50.

Shooter tickets, which include the option of shooting in two out of three SHOOT270 Indoor Shooting Rooms at the GlockStore, are $100.

VIP tickets, which are $250, include shooting in two SHOOT270 Indoor Shooting Rooms, firing a fully automatic submachine gun, and an entry in the drawing for an engraved G43X pistol.

Spivak (pictured above) said he expects state house and senate candidates to be in attendance as well as candidates campaigning for Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District amid the retirement news of incumbent U.S. Representative Mark Green (R-TN-07).

Following next month’s event at the GlockStore, Spivak said the Davidson County Republican Party will hold its annual picnic at Nashville’s Dragon Park in June. The party will also have an event around August; however, the details are forthcoming.

Spivak said these events help voters “invest” in the Davidson County Republican Party so that the party can better help Republican candidates win close races.

“The message that I’m telling people is that, look, the Davidson County Republican Party needs this investment. We need the investment in the party so we can do the other things, to help win those close races. Without that, without the money, we can’t do the voter drives…You can only do so much with volunteers, you can only get so many people out at one given time to do anything, so you need money to do the advertising, to do the promotion. You need people to help organize the events and you need volunteers and staff. You need poll watchers and workers and all of that,” Spivak explained.

Reporter Tom Pappert: Joe Biden ‘Deeply Resentful’ of Democratic Party, Sabotaging Kamala Harris’ Campaign for Revenge

Tom Pappert, lead reporter at The Tennessee Star, said he believes President Joe Biden is “sabotaging” Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign out of “pure resentment” for how the Democratic Party pushed him to end his reelection bid.

On Tuesday, Biden said on a Zoom call with members of the nonprofit organization Voto Latino that supporters of former President Donald Trump were “floating…garbage.”
