Crom’s Crommentary: The Democrat Party Is Using Angst to Give Itself More Power

Apr 26, 2023

Live from Music Row, Wednesday morning on The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – host Leahy welcomed the original all-star panelist Crom Carmichael to the studio for another edition of Crom’s Crommentary.

CROM CARMICHAEL:

Michael, yesterday Biden announced that he was going to run for another term, and he is doing so without a single Democrat who is in political office considering challenging him. It is common knowledge among Democrats, Republicans, and Independents that Biden really has lost his ability to think.

He’s not really doing anything as president. He is a fence post sitting behind the Oval Office desk, and the world is in great danger. Some terrible things are happening, and I don’t mean just violence across the world, but things are happening with our military that’s making it weaker with China and their technology and what they’re doing across the world to strengthen their position.

But the Democrat Party, as I’ve said is the party that has unfortunately become the party of government. I think right here in our own backyard in Maury County, the school board there received so much incredible pressure, which is why I’m calling for the disbanding of public employee unions in the state of Tennessee by our legislature to just get rid of them.

And if they want to form a club or want to go out and raise dues from their members, they’re welcome to do that because they have freedom of association. But they shouldn’t have any authority or any power in the state of Tennessee. And that’s the least we can do here. But you look at Biden, he can’t even complete two sentences.

He says he’s not going to debate anyone in the general election. Robert Kennedy won’t get any standing at all. He’ll be ignored by the media, and he’ll be a candidate on the ballot, but nothing will happen because the Democrat Party is a voting machine. That’s what they are.

And so then we get into the general election, and the Biden administration will likely not debate whoever the Republican nominee is or will demand such rules that the Republican refuses to debate under those rules.

And so there’ll be no debates because Biden won’t care. Now the reason Biden doesn’t care is because it will be a little bit like in Arizona, where you had Katie Hobbs, who refused to debate Kari Lake because she knew she wouldn’t do well, but she didn’t care because she had the election rigged in the sense that she was the secretary of state. Maricopa County had all kinds of problems with their voting.

There are still lawsuits where the attorney general who lost is claiming an undervote. The undervote is where people go and vote, and they vote for somebody at the top of the ballot, and then they don’t vote in a lower race. And the Republican there is claiming that the undervote is grossly misrepresented and that in fact many people who the election officials claim did not vote at all in this race actually did.

But there’s still great secrecy among the voting officials there, and the voting officials all reported to Katie Hobbs. And so you look at the 2024 election, and you look at what happened in Wisconsin in the Supreme Court election where the Democrats had an app that was paying people to download the app, $30 bucks and then paid those people to go out and get other people to download the app.

Like multi-level marketing in voting, and apparently, that’s legal because nobody has pushed back against it. So that will be rolled out nationwide. As I said earlier, the Democrats will elect a fence post because their party is a machine. It doesn’t care about the American people as a whole. It cares about the party apparatus. It cares about the people who are connected to the Democrat Party.

And it cares about those people who will vote Democrat because they’re given a financial reason to do, and that might be as, and that might be as simple as increasing all kinds of benefits to classes of people, to races of people.

It might be changing the mortgage rate so that people with good credit scores, which is now going to go into effect next month where people with good credit scores are having to pay a higher amount. For their mortgage than people with a low credit score. Because the Democrats think that people with low credit scores as a group are more likely to vote Democrat if you give them a financial reason to do so.

Then Biden is saying; I want to give money away for student loans. That’s another giveaway to try to attract votes. And it does attract a certain number of votes. But all of these things do great harm, great collateral damage to the body politic as a whole, but the Democrat party does not care about the body politic as a whole. And it’s sad. And I think the next 18 months, I don’t think the economy will do well.

I think there’ll be a lot of cracks that break into water. And whether or not the dam completely breaks is an open question. But I don’t expect that. Commercial real estate, there’ll be lots of stories in the news about that. I don’t think the stock market will do particularly well.

You see First Republic Bank, their stock fell 50 percent yesterday after they announced their earnings and that their deposits had dropped. So there’s a lot more angst going on in the economy. But the Biden administration is not reacting to the angst in a constructive way. It’s reacting to the angst in ways to give itself more power, which is exactly the wrong prescription for the country as a whole.

Roger Simon on Pro-Hamas, Anti-Israel Protests on College Campuses: ‘What Happened in Germany in 1937’ Is ‘What We’re Undergoing Now’

Roger Simon, the co-founder of PJMedia and current columnist for The Epoch Times, said the pro-Hamas protests unfolding on Ivy League college campuses across the nation are comparable to the scene in Germany in 1937.

Simon made the comments on Tuesday’s episode of The Michael Patrick Leahy Show after listening to audio of a clip taken from Columbia University where pro-Palestine protesters formed a human chain to keep Jewish students out of an encampment on the university’s campus.

NewsChannel 5’s Phil Williams Refuses to Explain His Failure to Get Justin Jones on the Record about Allegations He Covered Up Report of 2020 Sexual Assault, Tries to Distract with False Claims About Tennessee Star Reporter

Tom Pappert, lead reporter at The Tennessee Star, addressed personal attacks from NewsChannel 5’s chief investigative reporter Phil Williams over the weekend, saying such attacks are “absolute silliness” and a common tactic used by Williams when pressed on his “journalistic failings.”

On Sunday, Pappert reported on an interview between Williams and Dan Mandis, host of Nashville’s Morning News with Dan Mandis on SuperTalk 99.7 WTN, where Williams said that he once asked Tennessee State Representative Justin Jones (D-Nashville) to respond to claims made by his former close colleague Jeneisha Harris on June 18, 2020 that the state lawmaker had covered up the sexual assault of two protesters by a homeless man.
