Crom’s Crommentary: Corruption and the Democrat Party of Government

Apr 24, 2023

Live from Music Row, Monday morning on The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – host Leahy welcomed the original all-star panelist Crom Carmichael to the studio for another edition of Crom’s Crommentary.

CROM CARMICHAEL:

Michael, the word “corruption” is really the word that I want to talk about in my commentary. Looking at the federal government and also in the major cities of the states that are controlled by the Democrat Party, but especially the federal government.

The level of corruption is like nothing that I’ve ever seen in the sense that you now have evidence, facts, and data to support that the Biden’s had 10 or 12 members of the family that had been receiving payments into LLCs that had been set up to do nothing but take in money from corrupt individuals.

And we don’t know which countries, not just China, but apparently from countries that are our adversaries and enemies all across the world. This money is flowing into the Biden family and nobody seems to care.

I don’t know if you happen to see that the head of NBC resigned because there’s an investigation about an inappropriate relationship that he’s had with a female employee at NBC. And so that was in the papers this morning.

So here you have the head of NBC doing something that is completely against the company policies and he does it until he gets caught and then he resigns. Then it looks like Blinken is the person behind getting 51 former intelligence agents and law enforcement high-up people to sign a letter saying that the Hunter Biden laptop was a Russian asset and a Russian strategy.

Turned out, that was false too. Now you have Janet Yellen, who is who’s saying that the Biden administration needs to regulate the hedge fund industry. They can’t regulate themselves and now they’re going to regulate the hedge fund industry.

They’ve already regulated banks to the point where they’re almost destroying our banking system. It almost looks like that there’s an effort to end up with six or seven major banks, which doesn’t mean that their balance sheets will be any good.

It’ll just mean that they’re “too big to fail.” By the way, that’s not even possible. It’s never, it’s never possible to be too big to fail, because if the country fails, guess what? Your banking system will fail right along with it.

Then you look at how they’re abusing the automobile industry and essentially passing regulations that will force consumers to pay $10,000 to $20,000 higher for a car that they really don’t want here in the next few years.

They’re now trying to say that in mortgages, I don’t think this will stand judicial scrutiny, but if you have a high credit rating that you’re going to have to pay more for your mortgage and that money will then be transferred to people with a low credit rating.

Then you have the head of HUD that is claiming that there is rampant discrimination among appraisers. In this country with no evidence other than claiming that she lives two houses away from an all-white neighborhood.

And she lives in a black neighborhood and nobody even bothered to ask her what the address was because I doubt if what she said is even true. The level of corruption across the board and the unwillingness to even sit down with Speaker McCarthy.

I saw him on Maria Bartaromo’s show where he said that later this week he intends to bring a bill onto the House floor that will raise the debt ceiling and coupled with dramatic cuts in spending. When I say dramatic taking spending back to 2022 levels and then saying that there’ll be one percent after that.

If that bill passes the House, then Republicans can honestly say they had voted to raise the debt ceiling with responsible contingencies. The Biden administration’s reaction so far has been just to yell and scream and refuse to have discussions about the ridiculous amounts of spending. And I tie all this together to the idea that the Democrat party has become the party of government.

And the level of corruption and intellectual corruption is mind-boggling and then the fact that the media endorses no matter what Biden does and no matter what the Democrat party does, say it’s wonderful that these are great policies. And so, you are left to wonder how anybody can accurately assess the situation and what’s best to do.

Roger Simon on Pro-Hamas, Anti-Israel Protests on College Campuses: ‘What Happened in Germany in 1937’ Is ‘What We’re Undergoing Now’

Roger Simon, the co-founder of PJMedia and current columnist for The Epoch Times, said the pro-Hamas protests unfolding on Ivy League college campuses across the nation are comparable to the scene in Germany in 1937.

Simon made the comments on Tuesday’s episode of The Michael Patrick Leahy Show after listening to audio of a clip taken from Columbia University where pro-Palestine protesters formed a human chain to keep Jewish students out of an encampment on the university’s campus.

NewsChannel 5’s Phil Williams Refuses to Explain His Failure to Get Justin Jones on the Record about Allegations He Covered Up Report of 2020 Sexual Assault, Tries to Distract with False Claims About Tennessee Star Reporter

Tom Pappert, lead reporter at The Tennessee Star, addressed personal attacks from NewsChannel 5’s chief investigative reporter Phil Williams over the weekend, saying such attacks are “absolute silliness” and a common tactic used by Williams when pressed on his “journalistic failings.”

On Sunday, Pappert reported on an interview between Williams and Dan Mandis, host of Nashville’s Morning News with Dan Mandis on SuperTalk 99.7 WTN, where Williams said that he once asked Tennessee State Representative Justin Jones (D-Nashville) to respond to claims made by his former close colleague Jeneisha Harris on June 18, 2020 that the state lawmaker had covered up the sexual assault of two protesters by a homeless man.
