Live from Music Row Friday morning on The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – host Leahy welcomed the original all-star panelist Crom Carmichael to the studio to weigh in on a recent call between (R) Kat Cammack of Florida where DHS leader Alejandro Mayorkas arrogantly denied and shamed the Congresswoman for asking a fair question about the border and safety for Americans.

Leahy: That’s that arrogant bureaucrat telling the member of Congress, the Republican woman from Florida Kat Cammack. The arrogant bureaucrat telling her that a legitimate policy question was disrespectful to him. This is what we’re dealing with, Crom.
Carmichael: And the border situation is a crisis. They sent FEMA down. And what does FEMA stand for? (Leahy laughs) What does this stand for? It stands for Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Leahy: So why do you send FEMA to a non-emergency location? You don’t.
Carmichael: First of all, FEMA’s job is essentially for natural disasters.
Leahy: Hurricanes, tornadoes.
Carmichael: This is not a natural disaster.
Leahy: Manmade.
Carmichael: This is a man-made policy-made disaster. Trump had control of the border. He had control of the border, the border crossings, and illegal border crossings were at an all-time low. If he had finished the wall, then we have the ability to secure our border. The Democrats have always claimed you don’t need a wall to secure the border. Well, yes, you do.
Leahy: Look what’s going on right now.
Carmichael: Look at what’s going on right now. And this is part of what the problem is in the country is that this is that old story about the wife who comes home unexpectedly and finds her husband in bed with another woman. And he looks at her. And he says, Are you going to believe what I’m about to tell you? Or are you going to believe those lying eyes of yours? (Leahy laughs)
Because that’s what the Democrats are doing. You’ve got this terrible crisis on the border. And I’m not talking about just the children. I’m talking about the hundreds of thousands of people who are illegally coming across the border. I heard somebody say that the people who are coming across the border are coming from over 100 different countries.
That people from all over the world have learned that if you can get to Mexico, all you have to do is walk across the U.S. border to get into the country. This is a terrible problem. And the Democrats literally say nothing to see here, nothing to see here. They’re in bed with the woman and the American people are now looking in. CNN is looking in and CNN is believing its lying eyes.
Leahy: Yeah, it’s crazy.
Carmichael: It is. It’s terrible now. This was predictable. And let me also say this, I want to go back to Robert Gates. And Robert Gates was Secretary of Defense for both Republican and Democrat administrations. And in his book, he says that there was not a single foreign policy decision where Joe Biden was on the right side in his entire career. He was asked about that in a TV interview.
He was quoted by that in the book. And then he said, do you still stand by that? And Gates sits there he kind of hesitates and he goes, yup, nothing has changed. And the fact of the matter, nothing has changed. Biden has always been a foolish man. And now he is a foolish man who has also lost his cognitive abilities. Although I’m not sure that if he had him, he’d be any different. He’s always been a bad person.
What he did to Clarence Thomas was for me it’s unforgivable what he did to Clarence Thomas. And it showed to me at the time, and he’s never apologized for it in fact, he claimed he didn’t do enough. It always has shown to me that he’s a racist. They picked out Clarence Thomas and tried to hang this sex thing on him and Clarence Thomas himself said that Black people have always had a problem shaking something like this off.
There was a book called Native Son, and Bigger Thomas was the character in the book, and it was one of the most influential books that Clarence Thomas read. And it was about a Black person who was essentially unjustly accused. And it had a tremendous impact on Clarence Thomas. And he has said so. And so Joe Biden and the whole group of people like this guy that says you’re disrespecting me. She asked a fair question.
Leahy: It’s a fair question.
Carmichael: It’s a very fair question. How many people have to be kidnapped? How many people have to be murdered by illegal immigrants before you’ll recognize that you are part of a terrible problem? It’s a fair question. He says you ask that you’re disrespecting me and all the border people. But this is how the Democrats roll.
Leahy: Arrogant.
Carmichael: This is just how they roll.
Leahy: They think they are better. This guy thinks he is better or superior to a member of Congress.
Carmichael: Yes.
Leahy: Unbelievable.
Carmichael: But even if it was a member of the media, it is a fair question.
