Carol Swain Previews Upcoming ‘Be The People’ Conference Featuring Guests Larry Elder, John Rich, and More

Feb 5, 2024

Dr. Carol M. Swain joined Thursday’s edition of The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy where she discussed her nonprofit organization’s upcoming conference.

Swain’s nonprofit organization, Be The People, is hosting a conference on Friday, February 9 and Saturday, February 10.

Be The People’s American Dream Conference will be held at the Richland Country Club in Nashville and feature the host of The Larry Elder Show, Larry Elder, as the keynote speaker as well as performances by comedian Brad Stine and country singer John Rich on Friday.

While tickets for Friday are sold out, Saturday’s lineup includes three educational panels – one on education and cultural Marxism, another on crime and criminal justice reform, and the third on women’s rights – and will open with remarks by Pastor Allen Jackson.

The first panel, “Cultural Marxism’s Impact on America,” will be moderated by Diane Canada and include panelists James Lindsay, Chad Jackson, and Robin Steenman.

The second panel, “Crime and Justice in America,” will be moderated by Swain and feature panelists Heather Mac Donald, Charles “Cully” Stimson, Pierre Wilson, and The Star’s Michael Patrick Leahy.

The third panel, “Saving Women’s Rights,” will conclude the event with panelists Paula Scanlan, Patrice Onwuka, May Mailman, and Michelle Parker.

“Given what’s taking place today, the fight for women’s civil rights has to be fought all over again,” Swain said during Thursday’s interview.

Tickets for Saturday’s lineup are $30 and include lunch.

After discussing the upcoming conference, Leahy briefly pivoted to asking Swain about the revelations surrounding her ongoing battle with Harvard University regarding its now-former President Claudine Gay’s alleged plagiarism of Swain’s work.

Swain said the plagiarism scandal “breathed life” into her new book, The Adversity of Diversity, and “opened up so many doors” for her.

Reporter Tom Pappert: Joe Biden ‘Deeply Resentful’ of Democratic Party, Sabotaging Kamala Harris’ Campaign for Revenge

Tom Pappert, lead reporter at The Tennessee Star, said he believes President Joe Biden is “sabotaging” Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign out of “pure resentment” for how the Democratic Party pushed him to end his reelection bid.

On Tuesday, Biden said on a Zoom call with members of the nonprofit organization Voto Latino that supporters of former President Donald Trump were “floating…garbage.”
