Author Peter Schweizer Reveals the Reason Why American Leaders Refuse to Push Back on China

Mar 22, 2024

Peter Schweizer, author of Blood Money: Why the Powerful Turn a Blind Eye While China Kills Americans, said a majority of U.S. leaders are silent on China’s role in inciting American issues due to their personal, financial entanglement with the foreign nation.

Schweizer said his book focuses on a multitude of American issues – including crime and drugs – and details the “overwhelming evidence” connecting China to such issues.

“The book really looks at a lot of things going on in America today – the social tumult, the violence the problem with drugs – and I think it lays out the overwhelming evidence that a lot of this, China is contributing to. They may not have caused it, but they are certainly exacerbating these problems,” Schweizer said on Friday’s edition of The Michael Patrick Leahy Show.

Schweizer explained that U.S. leaders refuse to push back on China due to personal and financial involvement with the country or because they simply “don’t want to make the hard choices that come with the reality of what China’s doing.”

“The mind picture that I have is that America’s on fire, China’s holding an empty can of gasoline, and our leaders are silent. It’s not all of our leaders, but a lot of our leaders, some of them are silent because they are personally, financially entangled. Others are silent because they don’t want to make the hard choices that come with the reality of what China’s doing,” Schweizer said.

“If China’s doing these things, and they are, it means you cannot have a normal relationship with this country. You can’t talk about cultural exchange and trade until you deal with the fundamental fact that China, over the last five years, has killed literally millions of Americans through its actions. So that’s part of the reason why you see this silence from our political class,” Schweizer added.

Regarding President Joe Biden and his family receiving tens of millions of dollars from Chinese entities, Schweizer said the evidence is “overwhelming” that the Bidens did not offer any “legitimate services” in return for the money.

Schweizer specifically pointed to a $5 million interest-free forgivable loan granted to the Biden family from a Chinese businessman who was business partners with the Chinese criminal gang leader, White Wolf, who set up the Sinaloa Cartel in Mexico in the fentanyl trade.

“So you literally have one degree of separation from the First Family of the United States to the fentanyl trade. Joe Biden does not want to have a conversation about this subject because it hits very close to home. For people who believe that these financial corruptions involving the Bidens are victimless crimes, it is very directly affecting and influencing the policy choices that this president is making,” Schweizer said.

Roger Simon on Pro-Hamas, Anti-Israel Protests on College Campuses: ‘What Happened in Germany in 1937’ Is ‘What We’re Undergoing Now’

Roger Simon, the co-founder of PJMedia and current columnist for The Epoch Times, said the pro-Hamas protests unfolding on Ivy League college campuses across the nation are comparable to the scene in Germany in 1937.

Simon made the comments on Tuesday’s episode of The Michael Patrick Leahy Show after listening to audio of a clip taken from Columbia University where pro-Palestine protesters formed a human chain to keep Jewish students out of an encampment on the university’s campus.

NewsChannel 5’s Phil Williams Refuses to Explain His Failure to Get Justin Jones on the Record about Allegations He Covered Up Report of 2020 Sexual Assault, Tries to Distract with False Claims About Tennessee Star Reporter

Tom Pappert, lead reporter at The Tennessee Star, addressed personal attacks from NewsChannel 5’s chief investigative reporter Phil Williams over the weekend, saying such attacks are “absolute silliness” and a common tactic used by Williams when pressed on his “journalistic failings.”

On Sunday, Pappert reported on an interview between Williams and Dan Mandis, host of Nashville’s Morning News with Dan Mandis on SuperTalk 99.7 WTN, where Williams said that he once asked Tennessee State Representative Justin Jones (D-Nashville) to respond to claims made by his former close colleague Jeneisha Harris on June 18, 2020 that the state lawmaker had covered up the sexual assault of two protesters by a homeless man.
