Aaron Gulbransen: ‘I Know What Donald Trump Is Doing on the Issue of Abortion’

Sep 26, 2023

Aaron Gulbransen, executive director for the Faith and Freedom Coalition Tennessee and long-time pro-life activist, shared his insights with listeners on Tuesday’s episode of The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy on the strategy behind the messaging Donald Trump is using to effectively define and box-in the radical Left on the issue of abortion.

TRANSCRIPT

Aaron Gulbransen: As many of you know, I’m the state executive director for the Faith and Freedom Coalition, and we are many things, but we are a pro-life organization, and I’m saying this under my analysis hat, but the issue of the Right to Life is very near and dear to my heart. I have been a pro-life activist in one form or another, since I was a member of the Long Island Coalition for Life in 1998.

And, little trivia: the Long Island Coalition for Life is the oldest pro-life group in the entire country, and actually predated Roe v. Wade. So that said, I guess if I were to title this segment I would say, ‘I Know What Donald Trump is Doing on the Issue of Abortion.’

If you were to have caught his speech that he gave about six days ago, I think you would be – or in general about Donald Trump’s record on this issue – you should be very excited.

President Trump is not tossing aside pro-lifers as some of his opponents and some Never-Trumpers, including Never-Trumpers in the state of Tennessee, have suggested.

He is systematically obliterating the Democrat Party and the Marxist Left on the issue of abortion. No candidate who would be looking to leave pro-lifers behind or even a moderate on the issue would have talked on and on about the Left’s radicalism on abortion.

And, of course, it is obviously worth reminding people because we have ADD in this country. You don’t get rid of Roe v. Wade without three Supreme Court justices appointed by President Donald Trump.

What President Trump is doing is he’s defining Joe Biden and the Democrat Party as a radical extremist late-term abortion party.

As an aside, no Republican presidential candidate has ever done this with the exception of Trump himself in 2016 during a single debate. But if you’re preoccupied with some comments that President Trump made on Meet the Press and don’t get me wrong, President Trump can often say things in a manner that neither you or I would say if the words were coming out of our mouth.

But you’re missing the biggest story if you’re obsessed with those comments. Again, President Trump is systematically and effectively branding the Democrat Party as the grotesque extremist late-term abortion party while the Democrat Party attempts to brand the pro-lifers as the extremists.

But President Trump is very, very smartly and correctly branding the Marxist Left in the Democrat Party as the extremists on this issue.

And I think what you’ll see in the future, if President Trump keeps on with that message, the pro-life movement is going to have an even stronger hand and it’s going to keep putting wins on the board all around the country.

Roger Simon on Pro-Hamas, Anti-Israel Protests on College Campuses: ‘What Happened in Germany in 1937’ Is ‘What We’re Undergoing Now’

Roger Simon, the co-founder of PJMedia and current columnist for The Epoch Times, said the pro-Hamas protests unfolding on Ivy League college campuses across the nation are comparable to the scene in Germany in 1937.

Simon made the comments on Tuesday’s episode of The Michael Patrick Leahy Show after listening to audio of a clip taken from Columbia University where pro-Palestine protesters formed a human chain to keep Jewish students out of an encampment on the university’s campus.

NewsChannel 5’s Phil Williams Refuses to Explain His Failure to Get Justin Jones on the Record about Allegations He Covered Up Report of 2020 Sexual Assault, Tries to Distract with False Claims About Tennessee Star Reporter

Tom Pappert, lead reporter at The Tennessee Star, addressed personal attacks from NewsChannel 5’s chief investigative reporter Phil Williams over the weekend, saying such attacks are “absolute silliness” and a common tactic used by Williams when pressed on his “journalistic failings.”

On Sunday, Pappert reported on an interview between Williams and Dan Mandis, host of Nashville’s Morning News with Dan Mandis on SuperTalk 99.7 WTN, where Williams said that he once asked Tennessee State Representative Justin Jones (D-Nashville) to respond to claims made by his former close colleague Jeneisha Harris on June 18, 2020 that the state lawmaker had covered up the sexual assault of two protesters by a homeless man.
