Robby Starbuck: UK Labour Party Campaigning for Kamala Harris ‘Patently Illegal’

Oct 18, 2024

Robby Starbuck, Tennessee political commentator and documentary filmmaker, said staff members of the United Kingdom’s left-wing Labour Party campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris in battleground states ahead of the November 5 general election is “patently illegal” and should be a major news story.

On Thursday, The Tennessee Star reported that Sofia Patel, the head of operations for the Labour Party, recruited nearly 100 foreign nationals to travel to the U.S. and campaign for Harris in the final months prior to Election Day in key battleground states, including Nevada, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Virginia.

Starbuck, on Thursday’s edition of The Michael Patrick Leahy Show, pointed out the conflict’s double standard, explaining how it would be the “biggest story in global media throughout the entirety of the election” if it were former President Donald Trump, whom foreign nations were campaigning for in the U.S.

“Imagine if Trump was doing this with, let’s say, Hungary, it doesn’t even have to be Russia. They’d love Russia to be the salacious one, but let’s say Hungary did this for Trump with Viktor Orbán or El Salvador President Nayib Bukele, it would be a five alarm fire. It would be the biggest story in global media throughout the entirety of the election from here on out and you would never hear the end of it,” Starbuck explained.

“If Trump won, you would hear that throughout the entirety of his second term. It would all be about how he won because this foreign government sent people in to campaign for him. This should be a massive media story,” Starbuck added.

Regarding the legality of the operation, Starbuck said the members of the UK’s Labour Party are “clearly coordinating” with the Harris-Walz campaign, which he noted is “the definition of election interference.”

“We’ve got a situation where the Democrats, Kamala Harris, openly have a foreign government ruling party coming to the U.S. with boots on the ground to campaign for her in battleground states. That is the definition of election interference. That is the definition of collusion, because you can’t just show up and do your own operation. They’re clearly coordinating here. If they’re going to the battleground states, they’re going door knocking, they’re doing it in concert with the campaign,” Starbuck said.

Starbuck specifically pointed to the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), which requires individuals and organizations that represent foreign interests in the U.S. to register with the Department of Justice and disclose their activities.

“If somebody in the Kamala campaign is communicating, are they registered with FARA? What have they done to notify appropriate agencies that they are communicating with a foreign government’s ruling party to bring them in? There’s so many ends of this that are not okay, that are totally patently illegal, that it’s almost so absurd you don’t want to believe it, but it’s right here,” Starbuck said.

Metro Nashville Government ‘Knows It’s in Trouble’ With Response to ICE Operations, Reporter Believes

Tom Pappert, lead reporter at The Tennessee Star, said he believes the Metro Nashville government, specifically Mayor Freddie O’Connell, realizes it is facing serious legal consequences as a result of its efforts to thwart federal immigration enforcement operations.

O’Connell, following an immigration enforcement operation conducted in Nashville earlier this month that resulted in the arrests of 196 criminal illegal aliens, has worked to shield illegal aliens from law enforcement by launching a “Belonging Fund” to “support immigrants in Nashville during moments of crisis” and by amending his Executive Order 30 to mandate that Metro Nashville employees report contacts with federal immigration officials to him and the Office of New Americans.

Michael Patrick Leahy, CEO and editor-in-chief of The Tennessee Star, criticized the reporting by so-called “local” Nashville television stations about Monday’s “Stop the Invasion: Defend Tennessee” event hosted by U.S. Representative Andy Ogles (R-TN-05) to rally support for immigration enforcement efforts in the Volunteer State.

On Monday, Ogles and various Tennessee lawmakers and victims of crimes committed by illegal aliens spoke in support of the efforts by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to remove illegal immigrants from the Volunteer State during an event held at the Tennessee State Capitol in Nashville.
