Leahy and Carmichael: ‘The Forgotten Man’ of the Depression Has Become ‘The Ignored American’ of 2023

Mar 6, 2023

Live from Music Row, Monday morning on The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – host Leahy welcomed the original all-star panelist Crom Carmichael in the studio to explain the Biden maladministration’s new brazen approach to the ignored American.

Leahy: Right now Crom, you know about a decade ago, Amity Shlaes wrote a book with a reinterpretation of the Depression called The Forgotten Man.

Carmichael: Great book.

Leahy: Great book. And, so we hear the phrase, the forgotten man, the forgotten American often these days, but I’ll tell you what. I don’t think the proper phrase is the forgotten American today. I think the proper phrase is ignored American. Your thoughts, Crom?

Carmichael: Yes. I think what we’re talking about here, I’m specifically talking Fentanyl. We now have over 100,000 deaths a year that are fentanyl-related. And let me ask you a question, Michael. If I were to sell a product that was laced with arsenic and it killed people, would the government go after me for murder?

Leahy: Absolutely. The Department of Justice would be on you.

Carmichael: Because we all know that arsenic is a deadly poison. Well, fentanyl is a more deadly poison than arsenic. And what’s happening is people are taking a pill that they think is one thing, or they might be, frankly, snorting cocaine that they think is cocaine and it’s laced with fentanyl and it’s killing them. And it’s killed 100,000 people.

It’s such a huge number that it seems like you can’t affect it. Of course, we could, if we decided to focus on the people who deal in fentanyl. And it ought to be a federal crime, and there ought to be as much of a death penalty for dealing in fentanyl because you know you’re killing people.  There’s nothing good about fentanyl.

Leahy: Not a single thing.

Carmichael: No. And so it is like arsenic. If you put it in cocaine and if you put it in these pills that college kids take…

Leahy: Brightly colored pills.

Carmichael: And they are pills that they think they’re taking to stay awake. They’re not prescription, in other words, they’re not, they’re not made by a pharmaceutical company. They’re fake pills, but they don’t know it. They don’t take care to understand the origin of the pill. But the pill is laced with fentanyl.

But it doesn’t matter whether or not the person who is being killed, who’s being murdered by it didn’t ‘take proper care.’ They had no idea that there was fentanyl in it. They didn’t know that if they took the pill, it was gonna kill them.

And Biden was giving a talk and there’s a lady who’s lost two of her sons to Fentanyl for exactly what I’m talking about. They were murdered because they thought they were taking a pill that would help them stay up and study. And it wasn’t. It was laced. And he laughed about it.

Leahy: He laughed.

Carmichael: He laughed about it. He laughed about it.

Leahy: No, I saw that.

Carmichael: He said this happened when Trump was president and he laughed about it. He said, go figure. Or something along those lines. And then he chuckled, which shows you that he literally does not care about 100,000 people. And most of them, by the way, are under 40. And it’s now the leading cause of death for people between 18 and 25.

Leahy: I think the best description of the conduct of the Biden maladministration at every level is they ignore Americans. The ignored American. Case and point. Take a look at the train derailment on February third in East Palestine, Ohio.

And then the ‘controlled burn’ that put off phosgene and dioxins with long-term consequences in East Palestine. A bunch of Trump voters there. They ignored them. And they went to Kyiv instead. To Ukraine.

Carmichael: And Biden and Buttigieg could not figure out a way to turn that calamity, that terrible event, in their favor so they just simply ignored it.

Leahy: Ignored it. And they ignored the people there.

Carmichael: And even worse than that, they didn’t just ignore them. They said you’re not gonna get any federal help.

Leahy: And they ignored the federal statutes that require the Environmental Protection Agency to handle all of the details of the controlled burn of everything there. So they ignore Americans. That’s the new brazen approach of the Biden maladministration.

Reporter Tom Pappert Says Tennessee Congressional Delegation ‘Fear’ Defending J6 Prisoner Ronald Colton McAbee

Tom Pappert, lead reporter for The Tennessee Star, said members of the Tennessee congressional delegation have not shown an interest in taking up J6 prisoner Ronald Colton McAbee’s case due to the level of “fear” surrounding the overall defense of J6 defendants.

Last month, McAbee was sentenced to almost six years in prison, three years of supervised release, and ordered to pay $32,165 in restitution after being convicted and pleading guilty to six felony charges and one misdemeanor charge for being present at the U.S. Capitol on January 6.

Mike Benz Warns: The Supreme Court Needs to Exercise ‘Bravery’ in Murthy v. Missouri Case to ‘Dismantle the Government Censorship Complex’

Mike Benz, former Trump State Department official and current executive director of the Foundation for Freedom Online, said the Supreme Court is going to have to exercise “bravery” as opposed to “wisdom” in its ruling of Murthy v. Missouri for the government censorship complex to be dismantled.

Murthy v. Missouri seeks to determine whether the government’s “challenged conduct transformed private social media companies’ content-moderation decisions into state action and violated respondents’ First Amendment rights” related to COVID-19 and the 2020 presidential election.

Immigration Expert Todd Bensman Says Current Chaos in Haiti Is a Direct Result of the White House’s Decision to Repatriate Del Rio Camp Migrants in Return for Scuttled Elections

Todd Bensman, senior national security fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies, said the Biden administration’s compliance in scuttling Haiti’s elections back in 2021 has resulted in the chaos currently unfolding in the Caribbean country as armed gangs have taken over.

In 2021, thousands of Haitians were deported back to Haiti from a Del Rio, Texas migrant camp allegedly in exchange for the country’s elections to be postponed at the request of unelected leader Ariel Henry, who has served as the acting Haiti Prime Minister and the acting president of Haiti since July 2021 after the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse.
