Crom’s Crommentary: Disagreeing with the Democratic Party Can Turn You into an Outlaw

Dec 16, 2021

Live from Music Row Wednesday morning on The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – host Leahy welcomed the original all-star panelist Crom Carmichael to the studio for another edition of Crom’s Crommentary.

CARMICHAEL CONTINUED:

I’m going to pick up on Mondays because and add to it. And we talked about Martin Luther nailing the 95 feces on the church door. And that was in 1521. And as a result of that, he was excommunicated because he was challenging the Catholic Church. The institution of the Catholic Church, which then became a challenge later.

Not with Martin Luther, but with John Locke. A challenge of monarchies and inherited government and the divine right of kings was challenged. But after he was excommunicated, he then the Catholic Church deemed him to be an outlaw for his ideas. So one might say that Martin Luther was trying to start an insurrection.

And so now you see what’s happening on January 6 in Washington. And let’s look at the institutions that are being attacked by the modern-day Republican Party, not the old Republican Party, but the modern-day Republican Party. Look at what’s happening across our country.

There are articles about our jails and prisons in this country. I’m talking about the ones that are owned and run by the government. They’re crumbling and falling apart. The Washington jail that is holding so many of the so-called January 6 insurrectionists, it’s crumbling.

But it’s not for lack of money that the prison systems are getting. The problem is the prison systems are controlled by the unions that control the prison guards. And instead of investing in infrastructure and educational programs, they just invest in greater bureaucracy and higher pay.

The same thing is true with Amtrak. Biden has given them $60 billion of taxpayer money and is in his infrastructure bill that’s already passed. And that is $60 billion to support Amtrak and Amtrak is falling apart. Then let’s look at the post office.

The post office has a bunch of wonderful employees, but it still is getting billions and billions of dollars of subsidy from taxpayers every single year, and they’re doing everything they can to turn the Postal Service, which is supposed to be completely apolitical, into a political arm of the Democrat Party.

And we see here that if we go back hundreds of years and see where people who challenged the status quo and who challenged the relationship in the old days, the relationship between the Catholic Church and the kingdoms whereas nowadays it’s a challenge between the unions and the Democrat Party.

But the institutions are attacking the current day people the same way the institutions did in the old days. They’re trying to turn people who simply disagree and want to change the way things are into outlaws.
